The Resurrection and Rebirth of the Yielding Everything to God Conference

After more than a decade, the vision of the Yielding Everything to God (YETG) Conference is being powerfully resurrected and reborn. Originally held in 2010 and 2011 by founding members the late Minister Lunise McBean & Bishop Kenrick McBean, this conference began as a spirit-filled weekend for youth and young adults and has since grown to encompass all ages. YETG was a space created to enhance and empower the members of the body of Christ for service through training, discipleship, & mentorship & focusing on a Christ first approach

Today, that vision lives again, reignited by Pastor Ava Samuels in honor of her mother, Lunise McBean, who dreamed of reviving this movement even while bravely battling cancer. Minister Lunise McBean’s heart was to create a space where surrender leads to freedom and purpose through Christ.

This year’s theme, “Release the Oil,” draws inspiration from 1 Samuel 16:13:

“Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.”

The mission of YETG is to build personal and ministerial legacy by annually impacting the church and community with spiritual guidance and service that reaches multi-generations, cultures, and economic statuses. This ministry will promote economic stability through biblical financial stewardship, foster generosity to those in need, inspire entrepreneurial endeavors with ethical business and leadership practices, & provide emotional and spiritual renewal. You don’t have to be perfect! you just have to be surrendered and willing.

If God has called you, He has also anointed you. This is your time to be anointed and appointed for His purpose.

    Minister Janice K. Mahoney

    Minister Janice Mahoney comes from a rich Godly heritage, raised by ministering parents in Bellefield, Manchester, Jamaica, and later in Poughkeepsie, NY. She surrendered her life to the Lord at age 9, was baptized in Jesus’ name on November 23, 1993, and received the Holy Spirit on April 4, 1994.

    She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz in 2012. At Triumphant Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ (TACJC) in Poughkeepsie, where Elder Rhoan Richards serves as Senior Pastor, Minister Mahoney has faithfully served in many roles, including Youth Pastor (2008–2012), choir member, Youth Board Member, Praise & Worship Leader, and Bible Class teacher.

    Minister Mahoney began preaching in 2011 and was ordained an Evangelist on May 28, 2012. Her heart’s desire is to continually surrender to God and fulfill His purpose for her life with humility and devotion.

    Pastor Javé Ellis

    Pastor Javé Ellis serves as the Senior Pastor of Bushwick Family Ministries, Church of God of Prophecy. Beginning his ministry journey at 17, he has served faithfully in Youth Ministry roles, including Youth Pastor, Brooklyn District Youth Leader, and Regional Youth and Transitions Ministry Director for the Northeast Region and Bermuda.

    In addition to ministry, Pastor Ellis works as an Associate on the Wealth Management Municipal Sales team at Morgan Stanley. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Long Island University and dual MBA degrees in Strategic Management and Finance from Liberty University.

    Pastor Ellis is joyfully married to Melissa Ellis, and together they share the blessing of their daughter, Alani Nicole. He remains passionate about serving God and His people, striving to grow in Christ, serve with excellence, and be a vessel for God’s glory.

    Minister Jodean Graham

    Minister Jodean Graham is a dedicated member of Newburgh Church of God of Prophecy, where she serves as Youth Leader and Praise and Worship Director. A dynamic speaker and inspired teacher, she has faithfully served the Lord for over 20 years, committing her life to advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Minister Graham holds a Bachelor’s degree in Teacher Education and is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing Education. Her passion for both education and ministry reflects her heart for service, growth, and leadership within the body of Christ.

    She holds firmly to the scripture Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” This guiding verse continues to shape her life and ministry as she pursues God’s purpose with unwavering faith.

Honoring the Legacy of

Minister Lunise McBean

Minister Lunise McBean birthed the vision of Yield Everything to God, as a call to break free from obscurity, fear, self-reliance and the snares of sin. Yield Everything to God is a call to rise in the freedom and the liberty of Jesus Christ.  Minister Lunise McBean advocated for those she encountered, or lead to rise in boldness, to answer the call on their lives and to walk in their anointing.  With a powerful teaching and preaching anointing Minister Lunise McBean loved to see the Word of God come to life in the lives of believers.  Yield Everything to God is an evangelistic mandate to believe again, surrender our will to God, and trust in His plan for our lives. “Only what we do for Christ will last”!  This is what Minister Lunise McBean declared.

As our visionary leader she was persistent and bold, strategic and discerning, compassionate and loving, as well as inspirational and innovative. Minister Lunise McBean embodied the definition of a virtuous and graceful woman.  Many lives have been changed through the ministry of Minister Lunise McBean.  Souls have been won, hearts have been healed, chains have been broken, through the power of the Holy Ghost in her ministry.  Today, her legacy continues.  Today, the Yielding Everything to God Conference continues the vision. 

We “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness…” (Matt 6:33 KJV) knowing that as we Yield Everything to God, He shall “Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Hebrews 13:21 KJV)
